Become a certified PADI Open Water diver in Cozumel to explore the underwater world at your own pace.
The Open Water course will change your life forever. You will learn all the secrets of scuba diving in order to become an internationally certified diver.
You will start from the basics to acquire the most important skills to be able to perform the diving activity safely.
This course consists of a theoretical part and 5 dives (confined + open water) to acquire the necessary skills to practice the activity of recreational diving safely.
- The first day the theory class will be given along with a confined water dive.
- Second day two dives plus the completion of the theoretical part.
- On the third day there will be two open water dives.
Obtaining the PADI Open Water certification enables you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters / 60 feet.
At the end of the course, your instructor will process your PADI Open Water certifications.

Requirements
- Do not take a flight in the next 18 hrs after your last dive
- Older than 10 years
- It is not possible to scuba dive in people who have asthma, hypertension, diabetes, heart or respiratory tract problems (ears, nose, lungs)
Cancellation Policy
Since this course includes PADI eLearning, once the reservation is confirmed and access to the digital materials has been sent, the course is not 100% refundable.
The eLearning and digital material fee is non-refundable, as access is activated immediately and is personal and non-transferable.
If the client cancels at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled course date, it will be possible to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a proportional refund, excluding the eLearning fee.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled date or no-shows will be charged 100% of the total course value, with no refund.
In case of cancellation due to weather conditions, port closure, or other operational causes beyond the participant’s control, the option to reschedule will be offered. If rescheduling is not possible, a proportional refund will be issued, excluding the eLearning fee.
Swimming with the whale sharks was worth every penny! No sunscreen so wear a swim shirt or rent a wetsuit. Our Captain Solomon was fabulous and our guide Nano was fun, energetic and did everything he could to make this a magical experience for everyone on board. We were the first pick up and last drop off which meant for a super long day but highly recommend!!

We took the whale shark watching tour; we had a fantastic day with tons of sharks. Truly a dream. I would recommend it a thousand times over.

This was an amazing excursion. The Captain knew right where to drop you in so you can swim along the whale shark. If you hesitate, you ok be behind. The captain’s mate did a wonderful job of orienting you once you jumped in the water and he took amazing photos and video. I definitely recommend Gluup for this trip.
