Diving For Beginners In Cancun MUSA And Manchones Reef

Cancun

From USD 107/person

Description

If you want to try scuba diving for the first time and have an unforgettable experience: try the program discovery scuba diving.

A simple lesson in confined waters and you will soon enjoy the wonders of the sea!

The "Discovery Scuba Diving" program brings you even closer to the international PADI Open Water license.

In this course, you will:

- Review the diving equipment that you will use to dive and how easy it is to move underwater with your equipment.
- Pool class to find out what it feels like to breathe underwater and learn key skills that you will use on each dive.
- After the class, you will perform TWO dives to a maximum depth of 10 meters (33 feet) in one of the most famous reefs in Cancun (Manchones Reef) and in the Cancun Underwater Museum (MUSA), in which you can have fun diving and exploring by testing your new acquired skills and enjoy these paradisiacal places.

Today, MUSA is made up of more than 500 life-size sculptures, making it the most attractive underwater art museum in the world and home to numerous marine species.

It seeks to demonstrate the coexistence between art and environmental sciences, since with the passage of time, marine life finds refuge in these pieces. The generation of life turns the museum pieces into a set of artificial reefs.

The sculptures fixed to the seabed are made of a special marine concrete that facilitates the creation of corals on its surface.

The Manchones Reef is 15 meters deep and covers an area of about 2 kilometers.

It is one of the favorite places for those who practice snorkeling and diving, due to its calm and shallow waters, but also because they will be able to admire various coral formations, as well as an enormous diversity of marine species of different sizes, colors and shapes.

If at the end of this experience you discover that you want to get certified, your "Discovery Scuba Diving" will be credited to your Open Water course.

Diving instructions and the location itself in Cozumel were amazing. We've spent an hour discussing our dive on shore and once we gotten underwater and passed safety checks, there was a pure enjoyment of dive for next ~hour or so. Daniel Lomonaco, if you're reading this, just know that you're so much better than an average instructor.

Very attentive and excellent instructors. I was able to leave my dog in their care while we went on the boat.
