Cenote Dos Ojos (2 dives)
Playa del Carmen
Description
The Riviera Maya has the largest underground water system in the world.
Cenotes are systems of flooded caves formed by crystalline underground rivers typical of the region. In these fresh waters, you will find a great amount of biodiversity as well as stalactites, stalagmites, marine fossils, gas clouds (sulfuric acid) and haloclines (mix of salt water with fresh water), with a visibility of more than 50 meters.
The cenotes are a singular point of attraction and a must-see for any diver.
Once arrived in Cenote Dos Ojos, your cavern guide will provide a thorough briefing concerning scuba-procedures, safety, cenote regulation, history and any points of interest.
According to its name, Dos Ojos is made up of two sink-type entrances and a third large main cavern linked by a long submerged corridor.
It is a favorite of divers for its incredibly clear turquoise waters, impressive geology and nature, warm temperatures throughout the year, spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations and the possibility of doing two different dives.
In this activity you will make two different dives with a maximum depth of 10 meters and an average temperature of 24 ° C:
- 500m Barbie line
- 450m Batcave Line
These dives are a mixture of caverns, large tunnels and open areas that allow incredible games of light.
Live this magical and unforgettable experience!

Very responsive on what’sapp and gave clear information on the tour and how to get there. The place is very pretty! The tour guide and the boat captain were friendly. We had 4 stops in our snorkel tour as planned. Visibility was not great , but it was still amazing. I hope to go back for scuba diving one day. I also liked that they keep things real: (1) do not try to sell things that may not happen (due to nature), (2) they do not put additional fees - what they tell you is what you pay (very different than other tours I have seen around Los Cabos) One point to highlight is that the boat is small, so if the ocean is rough it may not be the best for people that get sea sickness.
