Diving In Cozumel From Playa Del Carmen

Get ready for two incredible dives inside Cozumel's Marine National Park where you will visit the best reefs in the area.

You will be picked up at your hotel or AirBnb in Playa del Carmen and drop at a beach in Playa del Carmen where a speedboat will be waiting for you along with your instructor to take you diving in Cozumel and avoid the ferry.

Two dives (1 tank per dive) are done in two different reefs.

The Dive Master will offer a briefing reviewing all the most important safety features. Any questions will be clarified at this time.

The two dives will be carried out on the agreed reefs, taking an hour surface interval between dives. During this interval there will be snacks available, as well as water, juices and soft drinks throughout the trip for your hydration.

The boat has all the necessary security measures so that you can enjoy your dives in comfort.

Cozumel’s National Marine Park is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System (SAM for its acronym in Spanish), second largest barrier reef in the world. The reef system is home to more than 65 species of stony coral, 350 species of mollusk and more than 500 species of fish.

Mostly all diving in Cozumel is drift diving. This means you will be dropped at the beggining of the reef and follow your dive master until the end of the dive. Underwater currents are usually not so strong and we pick dive sites that suit our diver’s skills. Pace of the dive is always very relaxed, in many cases no need to fin kick.

After your dives you will return to the beach in Playa del Carmen where you will be picked up to drop you off at your hotel or AirBnb.
