Diving In Cozumel
Cozumel
Description
Get ready for two incredible dives inside Cozumel's Marine National Park.
We visit the best reefs and adapt each dive to the level of the divers on the trip.
Pleasant temperatures and stellar visibility bless this underwater realm.
Diving in Cozumel is a wonderland of lush walls and high-voltage drifts, where caves and caverns are ripe for exploration.
Eagle rays, turtles and nurse sharks are common additions to log books after diving in Cozumel. Look closely and you can add lobsters, groupers, stingrays and sergeant majors to your tally.
Departing from Marina Fonatur, the dive sites will be agreed together with the Dive Master depending on the preferences of the divers, their level of certification and taking into consideration the climatic conditions exposed by the captain.
Two dives (1 tank per dive) are done in two different reefs.
The Dive Master will offer a briefing reviewing all the most important safety features. Any questions will be clarified at this time.
The two dives will be carried out on the agreed reefs, taking an hour surface interval between dives. During this interval there will be a snack per person available, as well as water, juices and soft drinks throughout the trip for your hydration.
The boat has all the necessary security measures so that you can enjoy your dives in comfort.
The diving equipment is checked daily with its preventive maintenance and disinfected before, during and after each trip.
You can choose between the two daily schedules and meet us at Marina Fonatur (9:00 AM or 1:30 PM).
If you are staying in the southern hotel zone, there is the possibility of picking you up directly at the dock of your hotel.
We transport all the equipment and we will have everything ready to guarantee a perfect diving experience.
Cozumel’s National Marine Park is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System (SAM for its acronym in Spanish), second largest barrier reef in the world. The reef system is home to more than 65 species of stony coral, 350 species of mollusk and more than 500 species of fish.
Mostly all diving in Cozumel is drift diving. This means you will be dropped at the beggining of the reef and follow your dive master until the end of the dive. Underwater currents are usually not so strong and we pick dive sites that suit our diver’s skills. Pace of the dive is always very relaxed, in many cases no need to fin kick. The boat is constantly following the group to pick you up at the end of the reef.

Very responsive on what’sapp and gave clear information on the tour and how to get there. The place is very pretty! The tour guide and the boat captain were friendly. We had 4 stops in our snorkel tour as planned. Visibility was not great , but it was still amazing. I hope to go back for scuba diving one day. I also liked that they keep things real: (1) do not try to sell things that may not happen (due to nature), (2) they do not put additional fees - what they tell you is what you pay (very different than other tours I have seen around Los Cabos) One point to highlight is that the boat is small, so if the ocean is rough it may not be the best for people that get sea sickness.
