Embark on one of the most complete marine adventures in the Sea of Cortez. In 5 days, you’ll explore two incredible sanctuaries: Cabo Pulmo National Park —a thriving coral reef— and the open waters of La Ventana, a seasonal hotspot for mobulas and ocean giants.
Starting in La Paz, you’ll enjoy seamless private transportation throughout the entire trip, traveling in comfort from the moment we pick you up to the day we return.
Spend a night in Cabo Pulmo and dive its vibrant reef teeming with jackfish, turtles, and sharks. Then head to La Ventana for two full days of Ocean Safari, tracking mobulas, dolphins, whales, whale sharks, and —if luck allows— orcas.
Rest by the sea, guided by experts and fully supported by Gluup, so you can simply keep your mask and fins ready for action.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in La Paz and transfer to Cabo Pulmo
We’ll pick you up from the airport or your hotel in La Paz before 2 pm. Transport to Cabo Pulmo, where you’ll check into the cabins. In the evening, we meet for a welcome dinner to connect as a group with your Gluup coordinator and go over the expedition plan. Rest.
Day 2: Diving in Cabo Pulmo, local lunch and stop at Sol de Mayo waterfalls on the way to La Ventana
Light breakfast on board, followed by two dives in Cabo Pulmo National Park, a thriving reef full of life. After diving, lunch in Cabo Pulmo. On our way to La Ventana, we’ll make an optional stop —up to two hours— at the beautiful waterfalls of Sol de Mayo eco-ranch, a natural oasis perfect for a refreshing swim. Once in La Ventana, we check into the hotel and enjoy a free afternoon.
Days 3 and 4: Ocean Safari in La Ventana
Each morning begins with a light breakfast on the boat. We’ll then head out for 6 to 7 hours of open-water marine tracking. There’s no set route — we follow nature’s cues: mobulas, dolphins, whales and —if luck allows— orcas. Evenings are free to relax or explore the town.
Day 5: Return to La Paz
Enjoy breakfast and a comfortable transfer back to La Paz. We’ll make sure you arrive on time for your afternoon flight or hotel check-in.

- Comfortable swimming ability in open water
- Minimum age recommended: 12 years (with adult)
- Signed liability waiver required
- Expedition confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants
- Group size capped at 7 unless private group arrangements
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received more than six months before travel are fully refundable.
Any cancellation made less than six months before travel will forfeit a percentage of the total price:
15% if 6-4 months before travel;
25% if 4-2 months before travel;
50% if 2-1 months before travel; and
100% if 30 days or less before departure.

It was a magical and unforgettable experience. We saw the majestic whale shark; the guide even held our hands to help us stay calm and led us to where we could see it best! We felt incredibly safe with the captain and the guide, who were always very attentive and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to eat and drink. The ceviche and guacamole were delicious. I highly recommend taking this tour with this company; you won't regret it!
