Description

Adventure, Nature, and Culture: A Journey Through the Heart of the Mayan World

Embark on a private journey where adventure meets a deep connection with nature and Mayan culture. With full control of your time and personal attention from expert guides, this experience promises an intimate exploration of Mexico’s rich heritage.

Imagine biking through an ancient Mayan city hidden in the jungle. Cobá invites you to explore its temples, ruins, ball courts, and observatories, all surrounded by lush greenery. This is history and nature at its finest.

Next, we visit the natural reserve of Otoch Maax Yetel Ko, also known as Punta Laguna, a sanctuary for wildlife and the community that protects it. Before entering, a Mayan shaman will lead a ritual ceremony, cleansing you with copal and chanting to the four winds to seek the forest spirits’ permission and blessings. The ceremony sets the tone for what can only be described as a magical adventure.

Once inside, trek through the jungle with local guides as you search for wildlife like spider monkeys, howler monkeys, and even elusive jaguars. You can also kayak across the lagoon, zipline through the treetops, and take a refreshing swim in a nearby cenote.

The day concludes with a visit to a local Mayan family’s “farm-to-table” project. Enjoy traditional dishes made from ingredients freshly harvested from their garden, while connecting with the family and learning about their way of life.

This tour is not just an adventure; it’s an authentic and meaningful encounter with the soul of the Mayan land.

Very responsive on what’sapp and gave clear information on the tour and how to get there. The place is very pretty! The tour guide and the boat captain were friendly. We had 4 stops in our snorkel tour as planned. Visibility was not great , but it was still amazing. I hope to go back for scuba diving one day. I also liked that they keep things real: (1) do not try to sell things that may not happen (due to nature), (2) they do not put additional fees - what they tell you is what you pay (very different than other tours I have seen around Los Cabos) One point to highlight is that the boat is small, so if the ocean is rough it may not be the best for people that get sea sickness.
