Ocean Safari in La Ventana: Orcas, Mobula Rays, Dolphins & Whales

La Ventana

From USD 103/person

Description

Discover the breathtaking marine wonders of La Ventana and the legendary Jacques Cousteau Island (Isla Cerralvo), a destination known for its vibrant wildlife and unforgettable encounters.

While La Ventana is famous among kitesurfers worldwide, it has also become a prime location for marine adventures.

From March to June, the clear waters are teeming with massive schools of mobula rays, drawing dolphins, whales, and even majestic orcas that hunt in pods.

During the warmer months from July to December, the water’s clarity and pleasant temperatures create the perfect backdrop for an oceanic exploration. Winter brings migratory whales, often spotted between the island and the coast, offering magical encounters that you’ll never forget.

This 5-to-6-hour ocean safari begins in La Ventana, where you’ll board a comfortable panga to explore the ocean’s incredible biodiversity. Swim alongside mobula rays, snorkel with playful dolphins, and, if nature allows, encounter magnificent orcas and whales. Every day is an adventure, and nature always has a surprise in store.

⚠ Important: This is a wildlife-focused outdoor expedition. While sightings are common, every experience is unique, and specific encounters cannot be guaranteed. At Gluup, we prioritize respect for marine life, ensuring no harassment of wildlife during our tours.

A great place to find diving options. I had dived with them a few years ago, and I did it again this time—it was amazing, highly recommended.

I went diving with them in Playa del Carmen, and everything was perfect—the communication, the pickup, and the diving. Thank you 😊
