Description

Discover the wild and spectacular side of the Sea of Cortez with this 5-day expedition in La Ventana, available during the peak mobula season from April to June.

Experience three full days of snorkeling and freediving in open waters, exploring one of the most vibrant marine ecosystems on Earth, with accommodation and round-trip transportation from La Paz included.

Every year, thousands of mobula rays gather here in a natural phenomenon still shrouded in mystery. Witness their breathtaking acrobatics and synchronized swims as they glide through the sea. With some luck, you may also encounter killer whales, whale sharks, whales, sea lions, and more.

Our expert team will guide you every day on an active search for marine wildlife, in a “Marine Safari” experience lasting approximately six to seven hours daily. There are no fixed routes — we let nature lead the way.

La Ventana awaits with deep blue seas, open skies, and surprises that only nature and adventure can offer. Keep your mask and fins ready — every second at sea can bring something unforgettable.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome in La Paz and Transfer to La Ventana

We will greet you at the airport or your hotel in La Paz. From the very first moment, our team will be there to ensure you start the expedition in the best possible way. After your transfer, you’ll arrive in La Ventana — a small paradise by the sea. You’ll have time to settle into your hotel, relax, and enjoy your first sunset over the Sea of Cortez.

Days 2, 3, and 4: Ocean Safari — Searching for Marine Life

Each morning after breakfast, we’ll set out on our true Ocean Safari adventure. We’ll spend approximately six to seven hours a day navigating in open waters, scanning for any signs of marine activity: mobulas leaping into the air, orcas hunting in coordinated groups, whale sharks gliding beneath the boat, or pods of dolphins riding the waves. Every day is unpredictable and unique — we follow the rhythms of nature, ready to jump into the water the moment an opportunity arises. In the afternoons, you’ll return to the hotel to rest, explore the charming town of La Ventana, or simply relax under the starlit sky.

Day 5: Farewell and Return to La Paz

After breakfast, we’ll prepare for your transfer back to La Paz. Our team will ensure you arrive with enough time for your hotel check-in or your outbound flight. You will leave with unforgettable memories, the sea still echoing within you, and a promise to return and explore the wonders of the Sea of Cortez once again.

A great place to find diving options. I had dived with them a few years ago, and I did it again this time—it was amazing, highly recommended.

I went diving with them in Playa del Carmen, and everything was perfect—the communication, the pickup, and the diving. Thank you 😊
