Know The Ocean And Learn How To Protect It

Who hasn’t ever been curious about what lives in the sea? Some of us satisfy that curiosity with books that tell us about wonderful flora and fauna, others choose to devour audiovisual material. And those are good places to start but, wouldn’t you like to take it a step further? Have you ever wondered how easy or complicated it is to live the experience of exploring the sea on your own? If you are an ocean lover like us, you have probably already snorkeled somewhere and, if you have, you surely thrive for more.

The deep sea holds treasures that bear little resemblance to what our eyes are used to, at Gluup we want you to feel such a vast diversity less strange. It is said that you can’t take care of what you don’t love, and you can’t love what you don’t know, that is why it is of great importance for us to promote the PADI Open Water diving course, in this way we bring more people closer to that aquatic world that we are committed to preserve.

This PADI Open Water diving course will give you the certification that allows you to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18 meters (12 meters if you are between 10 and 12 years old).

You can do it through Gluup in several destinations in Mexico, but now we will talk about taking your PADI Open Water diving course in Playa del Carmen, where you can appreciate a wide variety of marine life: fish, turtles, sharks, manta rays, sea urchins, anemones, corals, starfish, among many other species! The reefs you’ll find here are part of the second largest barrier reef in the world: the Great Mayan Reef, preceded only by the Australian Great Barrier Reef.

The PADI Open Water diving course in Playa del Carmen is carried out in 2 days: in the first day the theory is reviewed with the instructor, practices are carried out in the pool and first 2 dives in reefs of Playa del Carmen; on the second day the theory is reviewed again, the last 2 reef dives are carried out and a theoretical exam is applied.

It is important to clarify that people with respiratory or cardiac problems, diabetes or hypertension should not dive. In any case, if you have any other special health condition, we recommend that you check with your doctor if it is possible for you to dive.

Getting closer to the ocean is the only way we will manage to conserve it, did you know that most of the oxygen we breathe comes from the sea? Let's learn to take care of it!
